Golf Tip 1
Tommy Armour, noted teaching professional, once said, Fitted clubs are the only part of improved golf that anyone can buy. There is no national champion, no player making a profit in the precarious occupation of tournament golf, whoever could come close to championship play, if his clubs were as ill fitted as those of many thousands of golfers. Yet it is a serious fact, that players, who have need of every bit of help in scoring, often are hopelessly handicapped by their clubs.
Golf Tip 2
A high profile tour player once told me that, It is far more important for the beginning or mid-to-high handicap golfer to have their clubs perfectly fitted and matched than it is mine. I'll beat you with my wife's clubs because I have the ability to compensate successfully for the shortcomings in equipment. The average golfer doesn't have that kind of talent.
Golf Tip 3
If you start well, and you finish well, not much can go wrong in the middle

This advice is at the center of all Blaisdell Performance club fittings and client lessons. You must be in balance at the beginning and at the end of your golf swing.
To best accomplish this, find an area where you have room to swing a golf club.
Take your address posture and close your eyes. Discover where your best balance is at address with your eyes closed. When you think you have achieved it, open your eyes and check out where you're at. Is it the same as before, or are you better balanced against the ground?
Next, swing the club with your eyes closed—slowly at first—and finish your golf swing standing up straight on your left leg. Keep swinging the club with your eyes closed until you can finish your swing in balance. When you have achieved your best balanced finish, open your eyes and check out where you're at. Is it the same as before, or are you better balanced against the ground?
Golf Tip 4
The finish of your golf swing is a physical place in space to be. So, you don't just follow through the ball, you follow through to a specific place. It is critically important where you finish the swing, because it is a split second after impact. And it can be measured by your Blaisdell Performance instructor and repeated by you. This is the magic of taking your swing from the driving range to the golf course!
